YES, these products contain talcum powder which is not water soluble. Repeated use with embed the product into the carpet, backing and pad, which does not come up completely with vacuuming as stated. When exposed to moisture thru proper cleaning the product will wick to the surface of the carpet and leave a white filmy powder, and can also create white stains on top of carpet.
